International Students Orientation is hosted by International Students and Scholars (ISS) to welcome new international students to campus, connect to local resources, and start their journey of belonging at the University of Arkansas.

Mandatory Sessions

These are mandatory for all international students. Please make sure attend these events: 

  1. Immigration Basics: All F-1 and J-1 international students are required to attend an Immigration Basics session before being able to register for classes. Sign up for a session in your admission portal. Make sure the date is after your planned arrival to Arkansas.
  2. International Students Orientation Welcome Day: Join us for International Welcome Day to get connected to campus and your new Razorback community! We look forward to welcoming you during this half-day event and sharing a meal together. This day will serve as your orientation upon arrival.
  3. Graduate Only: New Graduate Student Orientation  hosted by the Office of Graduate Support (Fall Semester Only)

Cross Cultural Mentors

Cross Cultural Mentors (CCM) assist in educating new students about campus and community life, provide a connection to the University, and will be able to answer many of the questions new students have upon arrival and during their first semester in the U.S.. CCMs also assist new students facing difficulties with communication, social relationships, academic expectations, and general cultural changes.
